This Privacy Policy describes how AdInspector Pro (the “Extension”) handles data.
1. Data Collection
The Extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII) to our servers. All data processing occurs locally on your device or is sent directly to Google Gemini via your own API key.
2. Data Processed Locally
To provide its core functionality, the Extension analyzes the structure of the webpages you visit to identify advertisement units. This includes:
- Ad dimensions and positions.
- Element types (iframes, images, divs).
- Estimated load times.
3. Third-Party Data Transmission
When you use the “Analyze Viewability” feature, the following technical data about detected ad slots is sent to Google Gemini:
- Ad dimensions and coordinates.
- Window and total page height.
- The type of HTML element.
4. Data Storage
The Extension uses chrome.storage.local to store:
- Your user-provided Google Gemini API key.
- Your display preferences (e.g., whether the dashboard is enabled).
This data stays on your local machine and is cleared if the Extension is uninstalled.
5. Your Rights
Since we do not collect any data on central servers, we have no user data to provide, modify, or delete. You have full control over your data by managing your API key within the Extension settings and controlling the Extension’s access via Chrome’s permission manager.
